PROMPTOTHON 2026: AI Edition is a 24-hour offline hackathon organized by AVN Institute of Engineering & Technology, Hyderabad. The event brings together students, developers, innovators, and aspiring entrepreneurs to build practical and impactful solutions using Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies.

The hackathon will be held on 26–27 September 2026 at AVN Institute of Engineering & Technology, Hyderabad.

Participants will have 24 hours to transform their ideas into working prototypes and demonstrate how technology can be used to solve real-world problems.

The key focus areas of the hackathon include AI/ML, LLMs and Automation, AI Agents, Generative AI, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Intelligent Automation, and Open Innovation.

Participants are encouraged to identify meaningful problems and develop innovative, practical, and scalable solutions using AI.

The event will include an opening session, problem and theme briefing, hacking and development, mentor interactions, project submission, project demonstrations, judging, and prize distribution.

Requirements

Participants must develop a working prototype or solution based on one or more of the hackathon focus areas: AI/ML, LLMs and Automation, AI Agents, Generative AI, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Intelligent Automation, or Open Innovation.

Each team must submit their project through Devpost before the announced submission deadline.

The submission must include the following:

Project Title: A clear and descriptive name for your project.

Project Description: Explain the problem you are solving, why the problem matters, your proposed solution, how your solution works, and who would benefit from it.

Technology Stack: Mention the programming languages, frameworks, AI models, APIs, databases, tools, and other technologies used.

Project Demonstration: Provide a working prototype or demonstration of your project. A live demo is preferred where possible.

Demo Video: Provide a short video demonstrating the project and explaining its main features.

Source Code: Provide a link to your source-code repository, preferably GitHub. The repository should contain sufficient information for the judges to understand and evaluate the project.

Presentation: Teams must be prepared to present and demonstrate their project to the judging panel during the offline event.

Projects should demonstrate meaningful technical development and should clearly explain the use of AI or other technologies.

Participants may use existing libraries, frameworks, APIs, datasets, and open-source tools, but significant third-party resources should be properly acknowledged.

All submitted links must be accessible to the judging team.

  • Innovation & Creativity
    How original and creative is the idea? Does the project introduce a new approach, improve an existing solution, or provide a unique way of solving the chosen problem?
  • Effective Use of AI
    How meaningfully does the project use Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, LLMs, AI agents, or automation? The use of AI should contribute significantly to the solution rather than being added only as a supporting feature.
  • Technical Implementation
    How well is the project technically implemented? Consider the architecture, functionality, technology choices, code quality, integration of APIs or models, and overall technical execution.
  • Impact & Practicality
    How effectively does the project address a real-world problem? Consider its usefulness, target users, feasibility, scalability, and potential for real-world adoption.
  • Presentation & Demonstration
    How clearly does the team explain and demonstrate the project? Consider the quality of the demo, clarity of the presentation, understanding of the solution, and ability to answer judges' questions
