1. Eligibility

PROMPTOTHON 2026 is open to eligible students and developers interested in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, LLMs, automation, software development, and related technologies.

Participants must provide accurate information during registration.

  1. Team Size

Each team must consist of 2–4 members.

Each participant may participate in only one team.

  1. Project Requirements

Projects must be related to at least one of the hackathon focus areas.

Projects should demonstrate meaningful technical development and provide a clear solution to a problem or opportunity.

  1. Originality

Participants must submit their own work.

Open-source libraries, frameworks, APIs, datasets, and publicly available tools may be used.

Participants should acknowledge significant third-party resources used in their projects.

  1. Use of AI Tools

Participants are allowed to use AI-assisted development tools and AI APIs.

Teams remain responsible for understanding their implementation and must be able to explain their project to the judging panel.

  1. Development Period

Participants should substantially develop their submitted project during the hackathon.

Pre-existing libraries, frameworks, boilerplate code, and publicly available resources may be used where appropriate, but participants should clearly identify such components.

  1. Submission

All required project information must be submitted through the official Devpost submission page before the announced deadline.

Late submissions may not be considered.

  1. Judging Criteria

Projects will be evaluated based on innovation and originality, technical implementation, effective use of AI, problem relevance and impact, functionality, user experience, scalability and future potential, and quality of presentation and demonstration.

  1. Project Demonstration

Teams must be prepared to demonstrate their project to the judging panel during the offline hackathon.

Judges may ask questions about the project's implementation, architecture, technology choices, and potential applications.

  1. Prizes

The total cash prize pool is ₹40,000.

Additional opportunities may include Pre-Placement Interviews and Offers, subject to the respective organization's eligibility and selection process.

Prize distribution is subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with the event rules.

  1. Disqualification

A participant or team may be disqualified for plagiarism, misrepresentation of work, cheating, manipulation of the judging process, harassment, inappropriate behavior, violation of the Code of Conduct, violation of applicable laws, or any serious violation of the event rules.

  1. Code of Conduct

All participants, mentors, judges, volunteers, organizers, sponsors, and attendees are expected to maintain a respectful and professional environment.

Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, bullying, unwanted sexual attention, abusive behavior, or threatening conduct will not be tolerated.

Any concerns regarding inappropriate behavior should be reported to the organizing team immediately.

  1. Venue and Safety

Participants must follow all instructions provided by the venue and organizing team.

Participants must use the venue facilities responsibly and respect other participants, organizers, mentors, judges, and event staff.

Participants are responsible for their personal belongings.

  1. Organizer Rights

The organizers reserve the right to modify the schedule, judging process, or event arrangements when reasonably necessary.

Significant changes will be communicated to participants through the official event communication channels.

  1. Acceptance

By participating in PROMPTOTHON 2026, participants agree to follow the event rules and Code of Conduct.
